Job Summary
Leading transmission and distribution projects in a remote setting, the full-time Principal Transmission Line Engineer will manage high voltage transmission line design using PLS-CADD software, serve as a client-facing Subject Matter Expert, and mentor junior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Design and coordinate high voltage transmission line projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with client requirements
- Facilitate collaboration among project team members and act as the primary client contact to define project scope
- Prepare final construction documents, including project design criteria, drawings, and specifications while estimating construction costs
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant transmission line engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; licensure in multiple states preferred
- Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE with the ability to train others
- Previous experience working with or for a Utility is required
