Job Summary
Supporting all aspects of transmission studies, the full-time Principal Transmission Planning Engineer will perform power system analyses and collaborate with utilities and independent power producers in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform power system analysis and network modeling for reliability and quality specifications
- Conduct studies on generator and load connections and transmission planning
- Prepare detailed technical reports and manage client relationships to ensure timely delivery
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 6+ years of power systems analysis experience using PSLF or PSS/E
- Experience with stability studies and congestion analysis in the CAISO footprint
- Proficiency with PSLF software for load-flow, short-circuit, and transient stability analysis
- Working knowledge of electric power systems and reliability standards
