Print Desk Designer

Job Summary

Print Desk Designer is a full-time contract position responsible for producing visually compelling print journalism, working collaboratively under tight deadlines to shape daily and weekly print editions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design visually compelling pages and story packages for daily and weekly print editions, including special sections
• Collaborate with print editors and fellow designers to execute strong visual storytelling
• Maintain high standards for accuracy, tone, and brand consistency across all print products

Required Qualifications

• A portfolio demonstrating excellence in print news or magazine design
• Strong typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills
• Strong news judgment and understanding of design's impact on the reader experience
• Prior experience with M thode, Roxen, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
