Job Summary
To support a Specialty Infusion Pharmacy, the full-time Prior Authorization Coordinator will manage prior authorizations, copay assistance, and insurance verification while working remotely during standard business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Verify insurance benefits and maintain up-to-date prior authorization reports
- Secure prior authorizations and coordinate with prescribers for necessary information
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate financial responsibilities to patients
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 2 years of healthcare intake/admissions and/or reimbursement experience
- Previous medical and pharmacy benefit experience is required
- Ability to interpret payor contract fee schedules based on NDC and HCPCS units
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
