Prior Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist - Endo/Pulmonary.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain authorizations for surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, medications, and other services
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and update patient insurance information as necessary
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and office staff to resolve authorization issues

Required Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED required
• Vocational/Technical School/Diploma Program preferred
• 2-4 years of related experience preferred
• Experience with standard office equipment and technology in a Windows environment required
• Knowledge of insurance carrier guidelines and clinical policies preferred
