Job Summary

To improve patient medication adherence, the full-time Prior Authorization Specialist will obtain pre-authorizations for medication approvals, verify insurance information, and troubleshoot authorization issues while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorizations for patients requiring insurance approval for medications
• Verify and document patient insurance information accurately
• Communicate authorization status and benefit coverage with patients and providers promptly

Required qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months of experience working on prior authorizations
• At least 2 years of medical office or clinic experience
• Ability to read and interpret medical benefits for verification requests
• Technologically savvy with the ability to navigate multiple systems
• Access to reliable, high-speed internet for remote processing
