Prior Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Prior Authorization Specialist will manage the submission and tracking of insurance approvals for clonoSEQ MRD Assay, ensuring timely processing to facilitate patient access to laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit and track prior authorization requests while reviewing clinical documentation for compliance with payer requirements
• Maintain accurate records of authorization activities and ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory guidelines
• Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve authorization issues and stay updated on payer policies related to molecular and genetic testing

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in prior authorization, medical billing, or insurance verification
• Strong understanding of insurance processes and medical terminology
• Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
