Privacy and AI Counsel

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Privacy and AI Counsel, the successful candidate will provide strategic legal guidance on privacy, AI, and data protection matters, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles into product development.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy laws and apply expertise across all business functions
• Lead legal reviews of AI and privacy-related products, ensuring compliance and integration of privacy principles
• Develop and maintain internal policies and playbooks for responsible AI use and data handling

Required qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 5+ years of experience in privacy and data handling at a top law firm or in-house legal department
• Expertise in consumer privacy laws and healthcare privacy frameworks
• Experience negotiating U.S. and international privacy and AI contracts
• Strong track record of building cross-functional relationships in a fast-paced environment
