Privacy and Compliance Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP, Privacy and Compliance Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on data privacy and security regulations
• Manage a team addressing privacy and compliance needs across the company
• Draft and update privacy policies and conduct compliance training

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in privacy law, with some in-house experience preferred
• JD degree from an accredited law school and a current member of a US state bar
• Experience in building privacy and regulatory compliance programs
• One or more IAPP certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, etc.) preferred
• Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws, particularly in healthcare
