Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Privacy and Compliance Specialist will manage privacy operations, oversee compliance projects, and serve as the primary contact for privacy-related inquiries in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the privacy compliance program, including conducting privacy impact assessments and monitoring HIPAA and state privacy law requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for privacy inquiries from customers and partners, drafting responses to privacy questionnaires and supporting Data Processing Agreements
- Drive privacy initiatives through project management, develop training programs, and build privacy metrics for leadership reporting
Required qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of experience in privacy, compliance, data protection, or a related field
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and health data regulations
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Experience with privacy impact assessments and data subject request workflows
- Proactive use of AI tools to improve efficiency and output
