Job Summary
Focused on privacy, data protection, and AI compliance, the full-time Privacy and Product Counsel will design and implement compliance programs, draft policies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with the option for remote work and occasional in-person collaboration in Austin, TX.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing global privacy and data protection compliance programs while educating teams on relevant laws
- Developing and overseeing AI governance and compliance programs, including policies and risk assessments
- Drafting privacy policies and managing contractual terms related to privacy and data protection
Required qualifications:
- J.D. (or LL.M. plus foreign law degree) and a member of a U.S. state Bar in good standing
- 5+ years of legal experience focusing on privacy and product counseling in software companies
- Strong knowledge of privacy and data protection laws, including CCPA, CPRA, and GDPR
- Experience advising on AI governance and the privacy implications of AI systems
- CIPP certification preferred
