Privacy and Product Counsel

Job Summary

Seeking a senior Privacy & Product Counsel, the full-time remote position will manage data privacy strategy and compliance, provide legal guidance throughout product development, and advise on marketing and commercial agreements while helping to build legal operations and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data privacy strategy and compliance efforts, including ownership of privacy notices and conducting privacy impact assessments
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to provide legal guidance on new products, features, and regulatory requirements
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including data processing terms and marketing agreements

Required qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience, with significant in-house experience at a high-growth technology company
• Strong experience in data privacy and product counseling
• Working experience in marketing/consumer protection and commercial contracts
• Ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business guidance
