Privacy and Technology Counsel

Job Summary

Serving as the company's chief privacy officer, the full-time Associate General Counsel, Privacy and Technology will provide legal guidance on privacy and security matters, develop related policies, and advise on compliance with various regulations, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain privacy and security policies
• Advise the business on compliance with HIPAA, GLBA, HITRUST, and state privacy regulations
• Draft and negotiate agreements with vendors and partners related to technology and health insurance

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of legal experience with a focus on privacy, healthcare, and technology platforms
• J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate legal risks
• Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in advising on regulatory compliance related to health insurance marketing and sales
