Privacy Compliance Consultant

Job Summary

To support an independent assessment of digital products against new state privacy regulations focused on children's data, the part-time Privacy Compliance Consultant will evaluate how websites, apps, and platforms collect, use, and protect user data, particularly for minors, in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent privacy assessments of digital systems, including web and mobile applications
• Perform privacy reviews and document findings, analyzing data flows and handling practices
• Identify privacy risks and compliance gaps, providing clear audit-style reports with recommendations

Required qualifications

• Experience with privacy regulations, particularly COPPA and U.S. state privacy laws focused on children
• Hands-on experience conducting privacy assessments and audits, including PIA/DPIA
• Strong understanding of data flows and user data handling in web/mobile applications
• Experience reviewing consumer-facing systems and privacy controls
• Ability to translate regulations into practical findings and recommendations
