Privacy Compliance Manager

Job Summary

Operating remotely, the full-time Privacy Compliance Manager will oversee the Privacy compliance program, translating legal and regulatory requirements into actionable policies and standards while providing independent monitoring and governance support across various teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support oversight of the Privacy compliance program, focusing on U.S. requirements and suggesting improvements as needed
• Translate legal guidance into clear policies and standards for first-line teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations
• Provide independent oversight of privacy controls, including monitoring incident response processes and maintaining privacy risk registers

Required qualifications

• 6-10+ years of experience in privacy compliance, regulatory compliance, or risk management, preferably in financial services or fintech
• Strong understanding of U.S. privacy laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GLBA) and familiarity with international privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR)
• Experience operating within a second-line of defense model, including governance and oversight of first-line control environments
• Demonstrated ability to translate regulatory requirements into effective policies and standards
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) are a plus
