Privacy Counsel

Job Summary

Managing and maturing the enterprise-wide privacy program, the full-time remote Director, Privacy Counsel will provide guidance on healthcare regulatory law and privacy compliance while partnering with various teams to implement policies and controls that protect member data.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the HIPAA privacy program, including policy development and incident response
• Drive privacy-by-design initiatives across digital products and services
• Execute privacy risk assessments and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations

Required qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar admission
• 8+ years of privacy law experience, preferably in healthcare or digital health
• Expertise in HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules
• Experience managing privacy incident response processes
• Strong background in advising on privacy-by-design for digital products
