Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel, Privacy Counsel to support privacy initiatives and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the operation of the global privacy governance program, including policy management and risk escalation
• Negotiate and manage data protection terms in commercial agreements and serve as the primary legal contact for privacy-related matters
• Advise on employee privacy matters and develop related policies and notices

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited institution with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 5-7 years of legal experience focused on privacy law and data protection contracts
• Deep understanding of GDPR and CCPA; experience with privacy governance tools is preferred
• Proven ability to design and scale legal playbooks for privacy reviews and audits
• IAPP certification preferred, but not required
