Privacy Counsel - Utah Licensed

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel, Privacy Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the operation of the global privacy governance program, including policy management and risk escalation
• Negotiate data protection terms in commercial agreements and serve as the legal contact for privacy-related matters
• Advise on employee privacy issues and develop related policies and disclosures

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited institution with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 5-7 years of legal experience focused on privacy law and data protection contracts
• Deep understanding of GDPR and CCPA; experience with privacy governance tools preferred
• Proven ability to design legal playbooks for privacy reviews and audits
• IAPP certification preferred but not required
