Privacy Manager
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Privacy/Privacy Officer, the full-time remote Privacy Manager will manage core privacy operations, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state privacy laws while collaborating with various teams to enhance privacy practices and address privacy risks.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and improve the privacy program by maintaining policies, tracking risks, and developing training resources
- Manage privacy requests and incidents, including triaging inquiries and supporting investigations
- Assess product, AI, and vendor risk through privacy assessments and collaboration with the AI Governance Program
Required qualifications
- 4-7 years of U.S. privacy experience in a regulated industry, preferably with direct HIPAA experience
- Hands-on experience in privacy incidents, individual rights workflows, or vendor governance
- Ability to translate complex legal requirements into actionable guidance for non-experts
- Strong judgment regarding privacy decisions and legal escalations
- Fluency with AI tools for research and analysis, with sound judgment about handling regulated data
