Privacy Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the organization's privacy program, the full-time remote Privacy Specialist I will assist with monitoring, auditing, and compliance activities while fostering a culture of privacy and compliance throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with privacy risk assessments and support remediation efforts for identified risks
• Update and collaborate on privacy policies, procedures, and training to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine monitoring and auditing to assess the organization's compliance with privacy requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent work experience required
• 1+ year of experience in healthcare compliance, privacy, or a related field preferred
• Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Rule requirements and healthcare privacy principles
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
