Private Equity Counsel
Job Summary
To support a growing private equity firm, the full-time Private Equity Counsel will provide legal advice on transactions, compliance, and fund formation while working onsite.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate investment agreements, fund documents, and other legal contracts
- Advise on regulatory compliance and risk management related to private equity operations
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on legal strategies and business objectives
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in private equity or corporate law
- Strong understanding of securities laws and regulations
- Experience with fund formation and investment transactions
