Private Fund Accounting Director

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and collaborative, the full-time remote Private Fund Accounting Director will oversee critical accounting functions, including NAV calculations and financial statements, while partnering with external vendors and internal teams to ensure operational excellence in fund administration and accounting for private funds.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for accounting functions related to private funds, developing strategies for support models and leveraging external providers
• Responsible for managing and developing junior associates, leading change initiatives, and creating complex FA&A procedures and policies
• Collaborates cross-functionally with investor relations teams to meet client needs regarding financial data and performance reporting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 10+ years of total relevant work experience
• Expertise in fund accounting, NAV calculations, and partnership capital account structures
• Experience with financial reporting for complex investment vehicles
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and tax considerations related to private funds
