Private Pay Researcher

Job Summary

To support patient financial services in a long-term care setting, the full-time Private Pay Researcher will monitor and research billable insurance on patient accounts, resolve billing questions, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as customer support for long-term care residents and responsible parties, addressing billing inquiries
• Collect, verify, and document account-specific billing, insurance, and coding information
• Conduct outbound calls to reconcile account issues and ensure accurate account standing

Required qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service and a high-volume call environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
• High school diploma or GED
