Process Engineer III

Job Summary

Supporting advanced nuclear and energy-related projects, the remote Process Engineer III will develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), perform hydraulic sizing calculations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective process control and automation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and General Arrangement Drawings
• Conduct sizing calculations for control valves, pressure relief devices, and flow elements
• Translate process requirements into automated control strategies and support design reviews

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related discipline from an ABET-accredited program
• Eight (8) years of process engineering experience
• Experience developing P&IDs with comprehensive instrumentation scope and control intent
• Working knowledge of process control principles, system dynamics, and loop tuning
• Familiarity with PLC/PCS systems and industrial automation architectures
