Process Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Process Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare samples of glass and refractory materials through cutting, mounting, epoxying, grinding, and polishing
• Analyze and image samples using stereomicroscopy and polarized light microscopy
• Conduct imaging and chemical analysis using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), and prepare reports for Geologists and Engineering staff

Required Qualifications

• AAS in Engineering Technology or related scientific field
• 2+ years of experience in a technician role or similar function
• Experience operating electron microscopes or performing analytical chemistry techniques
• Knowledge of safety systems related to machine work and material handling
