Job Summary

As a Proctor for the English Test, this remote contract position will review recorded test sessions, analyze test taker behavior, and ensure compliance with identity verification standards while maintaining a high level of accuracy and speed in decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Review recorded Duolingo English Test sessions, including onboarding and main exam phases
• Document potential infractions and make evidence-based validity decisions within the expected review time
• Participate in monthly calibration meetings and training modules to maintain decision accuracy

Required qualifications

• Expert English fluency
• Experience in language evaluation, teaching, or test proctoring, with relevant certifications or degrees
• Ability to read and interpret gestures and behavioral cues from video
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Slack
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a secure computer or laptop
