Procurement Category Management Specialist

Job Summary

Leading the procurement of strategic packaging categories, the remote Sr. Specialist, Procurement Category Management will manage a complex spend portfolio of approximately $30-$40M, partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement of strategic packaging categories, ensuring alignment with business needs and effective sourcing strategies
• Develop and execute category strategies and annual sourcing plans to enhance cost efficiency and supplier performance
• Conduct supplier negotiations and establish contract terms to secure high-value, cost-effective agreements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in procurement category management, particularly in packaging for food, pharmaceutical, or related industries
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiation
• Strong knowledge of procurement methodologies and supplier markets
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities effectively
