Procurement Category Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a remote Procurement Category Manager, this full-time position will manage supplier strategy, sourcing optimization, and commercial negotiations while overseeing approximately $180 million in spend across a diverse portfolio of materials and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term Category Sourcing Strategies to minimize risk and optimize supplier selection and pricing
- Manage supplier performance through regular reviews and develop improvement plans as necessary
- Create sustainable sourcing activities and support new product or technology launches leveraging supplier partnerships
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- 7+ years of experience in Procurement, Category Management, or a related function
- Strong category expertise in direct raw materials within the food, pharmaceutical, or consumer health industries
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategies that drive innovative business solutions
- Familiarity with AI-based platforms and tools
