Job Summary
To support inventory management and procurement activities, the full-time Procurement Specialist will provide customer service, manage purchase orders, and ensure accurate inventory records while working remotely with occasional onsite visits in the New Jersey area.
Key responsibilities
- Manage inventory activities, including consumables and chemicals, while maintaining accurate records and fulfilling customer reporting requirements
- Perform purchasing functions such as backorder management, order expediting, and resolution of invoice discrepancies
- Provide daily customer service support related to procurement activities and ensure timely order fulfillment and communication of potential delays
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two or more years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and eMarketplace purchasing platforms
- Experience in laboratory, pharmaceutical, or regulated environments preferred
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory control, and supply chain processes
