Product and Privacy Counsel

Job Summary

As a full-time Product and Privacy Counsel, the successful candidate will manage the scaling of Brex's privacy program, provide strategic legal guidance on regulatory compliance, and negotiate data-related contracts while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Scale Data Privacy and Security Programs by enhancing data security and privacy initiatives in collaboration with engineering and business teams
• Implement Global Privacy Compliance processes to ensure adherence to domestic and international regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
• Provide Product and Regulatory Advice, offering legal oversight and compliance guidance throughout the product lifecycle

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in law firms or technology/fintech companies focusing on privacy and financial regulatory issues
• Deep understanding of CCPA, GDPR, and financial regulatory regulations
• J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar admission in at least one U.S. state
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives and time-sensitive projects
• Exceptional judgment and integrity, with a product-minded approach to legal challenges
