Product and Privacy Counsel
Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time remote Product & Privacy Counsel will manage product counseling and privacy initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while enabling business innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance throughout the product lifecycle, including advising on new products, features, and regulatory requirements
- Operate and scale the global privacy program, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations
- Collaborate with various departments to translate complex legal requirements into practical solutions that protect the business
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 4+ years of relevant legal experience in product/technology counseling and privacy/data protection
- Experience advising technology businesses, particularly in SaaS and cybersecurity sectors
- Strong knowledge of global privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA, and data transfer mechanisms
- Ability to understand technical products and provide risk-based legal recommendations
