Product and Regulatory Counsel

Job Summary

To help advance the vision of modern money movement, the full-time remote Product and Regulatory Counsel will provide legal advice on payment laws and financial services regulations, assess legal risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches and compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor on rules and regulations related to prepaid, debit, and credit card products
• Provide legal advice on consumer protection and enforcement actions for existing products and new features
• Monitor new regulations in the payments space and assess their applicability to the company's offerings

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fintech or banking, focusing on prepaid, debit, and/or credit card space
• Deep understanding of the payments industry and related laws and regulations
• JD degree and member in good standing of a State Bar
• Ability to independently drive complex projects to completion in a fast-paced environment
• Strong business focus with practical risk awareness and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
