Product Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing legal team, the full-time Product Counsel will provide legal advice to product and engineering teams on software solutions, collaborate across departments to ensure compliance, and draft foundational documents while working remotely in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel product and engineering teams on legal issues related to Stripe's software solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable legal advice throughout the product development lifecycle
• Draft, review, and update internal and external-facing legal documents for Stripe's products and services

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a qualified lawyer in a top law firm or in-house legal team, focusing on technology companies
• Proficiency in technology law and understanding of complex operational and business models
• Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Strategic thinking capabilities to advise business partners on practical applications of law and technology
