Job Summary

A company is looking for a Product Counsel for its Payroll & HR Suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and advise cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, focusing on payroll and employee-related products
• Provide practical legal advice on product, regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and various contracts
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance for the Payroll & Team Management platform

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school; active state bar membership
• 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably in-house with payroll or HR service providers or similar technology companies
• Expertise in product, regulatory compliance, privacy, marketing, and consumer protection laws
• Proven experience advising product teams and drafting product integration agreements
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and advertising law compliance
