Product Manager, Data Platform
Job Summary
Owning the data platform, the full-time Product Manager, Data Platform will manage cloud infrastructure and data production systems, collaborating with internal teams and external customers to enhance geospatial data functionality in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the cloud infrastructure and delivery mechanisms for core data products and open science mission
- Gather and prioritize requirements from teams dependent on the platform and translate them into technical specifications
- Partner with engineering teams and other PMs to execute and deliver new functionality while driving documentation and developer experience
Required Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, data science, machine learning, geospatial science, or related quantitative discipline
- 3+ years in technical product, platform, or data-engineering roles
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple engineering teams for production-grade delivery
- Experience with cloud-native geospatial data at continental to global scales
- Hands-on understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed compute, and workflow orchestration
