Job Summary
To lead strategic product direction for core platform offerings, the remote contractor Product Manager for Core/Storage will define and execute product strategy across cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and storage components while collaborating with engineering teams and driving product innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute product strategy for cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and storage
- Engage with engineering on system architecture and technical specifications
- Drive product innovation in performance engineering and infrastructure optimization
Required qualifications
- Deep technical expertise in virtualization, storage, and networking within distributed systems
- Experience writing Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with detailed technical content
- 5+ years of experience in technical product management or hands-on experience in OS/storage/networking development
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security standards (FIPS, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
- Proven ability to analyze performance benchmarks and define KPIs
