Product Manager - Healthcare Systems

Job Summary

Owning the delivery of system functionality for a mission-critical CMS application, the full-time Product Manager - Healthcare Systems will manage the product lifecycle, prioritize the backlog, and ensure compliance with Medicare payment policies while working primarily remotely with weekly onsite attendance in Bethesda, MD.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, serving as the primary liaison between CMS stakeholders and the technical delivery team
• Translate Medicare payment policy and operational requirements into actionable system and technical specifications, ensuring end-to-end traceability
• Lead functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including the development of test cases and approval of system releases

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in federal health IT or large-scale data systems, with hands-on product management experience at CMS
• Demonstrated experience supporting Medicare Fee-for-Service programs (CLFS, ASP, or similar payment systems)
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud environments and modern front-end frameworks sufficient to translate requirements into technical specifications
• Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel for data analysis, along with experience in Agile delivery environments
