Product Owner
Job Summary
As a full-time remote Product Owner I, the successful candidate will manage the development team's backlog, decompose product features into user stories, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Owns and manages the development team's backlog, including stories, bugs, and tasks, ensuring alignment with release timelines and capacity
- Collaborates with Product Designers to embed UX specifications into story acceptance criteria, ensuring clarity for engineering teams
- Maintains and prioritizes the team backlog, presenting stories during refinement ceremonies and participating in planning and verification sessions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in business analysis, product ownership, or a similar role within a software product organization
- Direct experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
- Experience in an Agile delivery environment with backlog management responsibilities
- Familiarity with payments, POS, or fintech product domains is a plus
