Product Owner
Job Summary
Translating product strategy into actionable tasks, the full-time Product Owner will manage the product backlog, collaborate with engineering and design teams, and ensure that delivered features align with customer needs in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria based on roadmap themes and customer requirements
- Collaborate daily with engineering and design throughout the development lifecycle, making trade-off decisions on scope and priority
- Validate that delivered features meet acceptance criteria and intended outcomes, serving as the primary contact for engineering on requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, technology, or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a related agile delivery/product role at a software company
- Working knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies and experience with backlog and sprint management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic direction and customer needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
- Experience partnering with engineering teams and leading technical discussions on feasibility and trade-offs
