Product Owner - Payments and Healthcare

Job Summary

To support innovative payment solutions in telemedicine, the remote contract Product Owner - Payments and Healthcare will manage market research, user interviews, and product requirements for telehealth merchants, focusing on high-risk payment processing and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research on telehealth payments and identify underserved gaps
• Perform user interviews to translate insights into product direction and a structured roadmap
• Develop requirements and user stories for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with compliance standards

Required qualifications

• 7+ years in product management or ownership with a focus on payments processing
• Direct experience in the telemedicine vertical, including DTC telehealth and compounded medications
• Fluency in high-risk merchant underwriting and related documentation processes
• Proven ability to conduct structured user interviews and market research
• Comfortable writing specifications and user stories within an Agile/Scrum framework
