Product Security Engineer

Job Summary

Creating and extending security services and tools, the full-time Product Security Engineer will work remotely or onsite, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient development of Cedar's healthcare products.

Key responsibilities

• Create and enhance tools that assist product and platform engineers in building and maintaining Cedar products securely
• Act as a Security Partner for engineering teams, promoting security practices and conducting threat modeling and code reviews
• Contribute to automation projects related to security, including static analysis and vulnerability management

Required qualifications

• Experience in application security, including security code review and threat modeling
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Kotlin
• Familiarity with security architecture and best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams across the software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PCI compliance standards is a plus
