Product Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a part-time to full-time Product Security Engineer, the candidate will enhance and evolve the cybersecurity program with a focus on application security, managing activities such as vulnerability assessments, security scanning, and technical security documentation in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Implement new security solutions to contribute to a secure software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Improve and optimize existing security solutions while advocating for technical security awareness across the organization
• Conduct technical design reviews and perform structured threat modeling to identify and mitigate potential risks

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3-4 years of experience in a role with security exposure
• Strong understanding of web, mobile, and cloud security concepts, including security protocols and basic cryptography
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or shell scripting, with familiarity in secure software development practices
• Basic understanding of vulnerability management, security observability, and security incident response
