Production Editor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Production Editor.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality production by performing and overseeing all steps of the production process
• Create production schedules and maintain communication with authors and vendors throughout the production cycle
• Implement and maintain proper markup and tagging of book files for repurposing in various digital formats

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in publishing, communications, or related field; equivalent education and/or experience may be considered
• 2 years of work experience in the publishing industry
• Strong working knowledge of publication production processes, including copyediting and proofreading
• Proficient in markup languages (HTML, AsciiDoc) and/or XML editing tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
