Production Engineer

Job Summary

Working full-time, the Production Engineer will develop and maintain the infrastructure for Meta's products and services, ensuring reliability and performance for billions of users while collaborating with engineering teams to solve complex production challenges.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and manage back-end and front-end services, including fleet management and critical infrastructure components
• Write, review, and debug high-quality code while leveraging AI tools and developing documentation and capacity plans
• Participate in on-call rotations and mentor team members to enhance overall team performance and impact

Required qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience with *nix (Linux or UNIX-like OS) and network fundamentals
• 7+ years of coding experience in an industry-standard language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, PHP/Hack, Rust, Go)
• Experience with Internet service architecture capacity planning and urgent capacity augmentation
• Knowledge of common web technologies and Internet service architectures (e.g., LAMP, MEAN stacks)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
