Production Engineer

Job Summary

Working full-time, the Production Engineer will develop and maintain the underlying infrastructure for Meta's products and services, ensuring reliability and performance for billions of users while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and manage back-end services and infrastructure components that support Meta's products
• Write, review, and debug code while leveraging AI tools for productionizing code and developing documentation
• Participate in on-call rotations and serve as an escalation contact for service incidents

Required qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in *nix (Linux or UNIX-like OS) and network fundamentals
• 6+ years of coding experience in an industry-standard language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, PHP/Hack, Rust, Go)
• Experience with Internet service architecture capacity planning and urgent capacity needs
• Knowledge of common web technologies and Internet service architectures (e.g., LAMP, MEAN stacks)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
