Production Engineer
Job Summary
To support critical infrastructure efforts, the full-time Production Engineer will develop and maintain back-end services and systems that ensure the reliability and performance of Meta's platforms, collaborating with top engineers in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage back-end services, infrastructure components, and critical systems across Meta's products
- Write, review, and debug high-quality code while leveraging AI tools for optimization and documentation
- Participate in on-call rotations and act as an escalation contact for service incidents within the engineering team
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in *nix environments and network fundamentals
- 7+ years of coding experience in languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Go
- Experience with Internet service architecture and capacity planning
- Knowledge of web technologies and infrastructure applications like Kubernetes and MySQL
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
