Production Engineer
Job Summary
Experienced software engineers will find a full-time opportunity as a Production Engineer focused on developing and maintaining the infrastructure for Meta's products and services, ensuring reliability and performance for billions of users, while working in a collaborative environment both onsite and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage back-end services, infrastructure components, and core services across various Meta platforms
- Write and review high-quality code, leverage AI tools for production, and troubleshoot complex live system issues
- Participate in on-call rotations and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance and scalability
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in *nix (Linux or UNIX-like OS) and network fundamentals
- 6+ years of coding experience in an industry-standard programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, PHP/Hack, Rust, Go)
- Experience with software frameworks, APIs, and internet service architecture capacity planning
- Knowledge of web technologies and infrastructure applications, such as Kubernetes and MySQL
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
