Production Operations Engineer

Job Summary

To sustain 24x7 EAG production operations, the full-time remote Production Operations Engineer will monitor the IBM webMethods platform, respond to incidents, and execute API onboarding for high-volume transactions while ensuring strict adherence to service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuous monitoring and rapid response to P1 incidents, ensuring service restoration within 4 hours
• Maintain system availability at 99.5% or higher and log all incidents in ServiceNow, producing root cause analyses as required
• Execute API onboarding and lifecycle delivery, including performance testing and configuration updates for approximately 35 APIs per month

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in 24x7 production support for high-volume enterprise API gateway or middleware platforms
• Proficiency with IBM webMethods API Gateway or a comparable enterprise API management platform
• Demonstrated ability to meet SLAs, including sub-15-minute P1 response and maintaining 99.5%+ availability
• Experience with ServiceNow for incident, change, and request management
• Familiarity with AppDynamics and ELK stack for monitoring API performance metrics
