Production Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Providing round-the-clock operational support, the full-time remote Production Operations Engineer will manage 24x7 monitoring and production operations for the IRS Enterprise API Gateway, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and performance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Provides continuous monitoring of the EAG platform and executes day-to-day production operations across legacy and new gateway environments
• Performs incident triage and response, ensuring compliance with ServiceNow SLAs for P1 incidents
• Delivers root cause analysis for P1 incidents and drives corrective actions to minimize recurrence

Required qualifications

• 7 years of experience in production support and incident management
• Proficiency with ServiceNow, monitoring, patch remediation, and operational reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Preferred MBI certification
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required; ability to obtain IRS security clearance
