Production Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Providing round-the-clock operational support, the full-time remote Production Operations / O&M Engineer will monitor the IRS Enterprise API Gateway, perform incident triage, deliver root cause analysis, and execute patch and vulnerability remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Provides 24x7x365 monitoring and day-to-day production operations for the EAG platform across legacy and new environments
• Performs incident triage and response for P1 incidents, ensuring compliance with ServiceNow SLAs
• Delivers root cause analysis and drives corrective actions to minimize incident recurrence

Required qualifications

• 7 years of experience in production support and incident management
• Experience with ServiceNow, monitoring, patch/vulnerability remediation, and operational reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Preferred MBI certification
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required
